Description

The St. Francis Dam National Memorial Foundation is a non-profit organization with the goal of raising funds for the United States Forest Service to support the building and maintenance of the 353 acre St. Francis Dam Disaster National Memorial and National Monument. They do so in order to honor the memory of the hundreds of victims of the second largest disaster in California history.

Mission Statement

The mission of the St. Francis Dam National Memorial Foundation is to raise funds for the construction, maintenance, security, and administration of a visitor’s center and museum, along with a memorial wall for the disaster victims and any additional supporting infrastructure, within the St. Francis Dam Disaster National Memorial and Monument.

Vision Statement

The St. Francis Dam National Memorial Foundation’s vision is to create a National Memorial at the site of the St. Francis Dam disaster which properly honors its many victims, and provides a great educational experience about the disaster to visitors from all over the world.
