Home » Grey Squirrel

The California Grey Squirrel ranges from San Luis Obispo to Northern Baja California.  They are forest dwellers and they feed on seeds, nuts, acorns, berries, fungus and insects.  They nest in trees and the young emerge from the nests between March and August. Unfortunately for the squirrels, there are many predators present in the area, including Coyotes, Cougars, Bobcats, Red-tailed and other hawks and Great-horned Owls.
