We are currently working with the US Forest Service to develop a master plan for the St. Francis Dam Disaster National Memorial and National Monument. As plans are developed, they will be posted on this page. Please stay tuned and check back here.
As of July, 2020, a possible site for the National Memorial Visitor Center might be on the lot of the current U.S. Forest Service Fire Station next to Powerhouse 2 of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power on San Francisquito Canyon Road. This has not been officially designated as of yet and is subject to change as planning continues.
The U.S. Forest Service is considering an international competition to develop a design to consider for the Visitor Center and Memorial. Further details to follow.
