“Mining Camp Days” is the story of the author’s life in the mining camps in Nevada and Eastern California after 1905, especially during the boom days of Tonopah, the waning years of Aurora, and the wildest of them all – BODIE, where he was employed from 1908 until 1920. He retired in 1950 and became interested in preserving Bodie for future generations. He negotiated with the state of California to create the State of California’s Bodie State Historical Park. This is his story. Fabulous historical photos are included in the book.
