You won’t be able to put “Missing in the Minarets -The Search for Walter A. Starr Jr.” down. Attorney Walter A. Starr was climbing alone in 1933 in the Minarets region of the Eastern Sierra when he mysteriously disappeared. He was from San Francisco, from a prominent family.
Rigorous searches by some of the best climbers of the day failed to find him, despite a number of promising clues. When others gave up, Mountaineering Legend Norman Clyde refused to give up. He climbed alone and persevered in the face of failure, resolved that he would learn the fate of the lost man.
