This was probably purchased in Europe between 1910 and 1920. I believe it is made of copper as there is a little bit of green around one of the lion heads. There are three legs, and a lion head on top of each leg. The base has some slash marks on it and a rope design above that. In the center of the base is either a pine cone or a bud of some kind (Magnolia/Rose/pinecone?). On the bottom of the box on top of the piece is what looks like a pinecone hanging upside down. The rim on the top of the box is more ornate with two rows of designs all the way around the rim. The lid is even more ornate, with another pinecone as the handle, a row of striping coming down from that, and a row of acorns all around the rim of the lid. It is an extraordinary piece. Considering the age of the piece, it is in great condition. There is a lot of patina built upon it.
