This is truly a crazy item. It was given to my grandmother in 1942 as a gift when she attended a movie theatre. Gifts were given to those who attended a film, to try to get more people to the theatre. My grandmother was the lucky recipient of this incentive! She never used it, but kept it as a reminder of 1942 when her son was far away, fighting in the war. I’ve never seen another one like it. It comes in the original box from 1942 and says, “This box contains a valuable piece of Sweetheart Beauty ware. Every piece is protected against wear and tarnishing. A different gift at this theatre each week.” And then the name of the item appears: “Blackhead Squeezer” and “Patent Pending”. The box is worn, but the Blackhead Squeezer itself is in perfect, unused condition.
