This great SS Lane Victory beer mug is new and unused and comes from an American Cargo ship from WWII. The SS Lane Victory Ship is now a museum, having been preserved in 1989. She currently resided in San Pedro. She is a U.S. National Historic Landmark. The Lane Victory was named after Lane College, which was established as a high school for black youths in 1882 at Jackson, Tennessee, by Isaac Lane, a black bishop in the Methodist Episcopal Church in America. This mug comes directly from the SS Lane Victory. The front of the mug says SS Lane Victory has a drawing of the ship in 24K gold, and under that, it says, “A National Historic Landmark, Berth 94, San Pedro, CA. On the back of the mug, it states: “ Built in 1945, San Pedro, CA., Served in WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Totally restored in 1994.
