This case was made in South Korea. In Korea, they eat a lot of eels. The eel skins that were used to make this item were harvested from restaurants after the eels were eaten. No eels were killed specifically to make this case. It could be used to transport money and checks to the bank, or as a travel wallet to carry your passport, tickets, passes, etc. There are 2 compartments inside, one is an open compartment and the other is a zippered compartment. It has never been used.
