Wirelettuce

Wirelettuce is native to California and is a member of the Aster family. It has many common names. Among them are Brownplume wirelettuce, Few-flowered wirelettuce, and Skeleton plant. It is commonly found along the California Coast from San Jose to San Diego, and inland areas from Death Valley, Bakersfield, Los Angeles to the Mexican border. It grows in many types of habitat as you can tell by it’s vast range. It loves deserts, woodlands, and plains.  It is a perennial plant and it can grow to 2’ tall.
